BSI approval certificates

"BSI carries out a programme of continuous assessment with a review at the end of a 2/3-year (depending on the scheme) period. At the end of this review the decision to continue with the registration is confirmed and if there are no changes it is felt that a reissue of the certificate is unnecessary.

Our practice is to build a close, continuing relationship with our clients and we therefore do not impose an arbitrary expiration date. We also maintain a public register of our clients, so you may cross check validity with us (telephone +44 (020) 8996 7720) if you are in any doubt.

Our clients must represent their registration faithfully and we take all possible measures to protect the integrity of our registration schemes. Cancellations of certificates are announced each month in Business Standards and we will not hesitate to take legal action against companies who claim BSI registration, when they have either not achieved it or had their registration cancelled. It is reasonable, therefore, for you to take copies of BSI certificates that are presented to you at face value."
